Tea Brewing:
Brewing the tea is important to get the best taste and flavor from your cup of tea. The two major factors are time and temperature.
Hot Tea
1. Start with fresh, cold water.
2. Measure 1 tsp of Spice Hut loose tea per cup of water.
3. Heat the water to the recommended temperature (see chart)
4. Pour hot water over the leaves and steep for the appropriate time (see chart)
5. Strain (remove) leaves from water and enjoy!!
Iced Tea
- 4 cups ( 1 quart ) cold water
- ¼ cup loose black tea leaves
- ice cubes
- sugar or honey for sweetener (optional)
1. Bring 2 cups of the cold water to a boil.
2. Pour hot water over the tea leaves
3. Let it steep 5 minutes
4. Add sweetener to hot tea and mix thoroughly (optional)
5. Strain the brewed tea into the remaining 2 cups of cold water.
6. Add ice or put into refrigerator to cool.
Serve and enjoy!!

Some handy tips for the perfect brew:
• Make sure your kettle and teapot are clean – no residue from previous teas
• Preheat teapot with warm water, then spill before steeping leaves
• Always use fresh, cold water
• Use the correct amount of tea (1 tsp / cup water)
• Brew tea for the proper time (see chart)
• Use a brew basket for quick and easy removal of tea leaves.
• Add sugar, lemon, or honey to taste
